Forklift Position Responsibilities
- Identify and document faulty repairs, fittings, and basic safety concerns to Supervisor immediately.
- Load and unload products out of trailers using forklift trucks and other material handling equipment.
- Store these products in appropriate locations in the store.
- Transport services and products to out of warehouse and supply centers.
- Deliver products to several units in safely and timely method.
- Sort, pack, wrap, tie and tag products as per company procedures.
- Weigh services and products and record weight and also other data in merchandise tags.
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory.
- Move and load poisonous wastes under the direction of a supervisor.
- Clean work area and equipment regularly by eliminating vacant pallets, wood and plastic.
- Follow company standards and lawful regulations to ensure safe and positive work atmosphere.
- Maintain routine equipment by minding breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, advocating repairs and performing routine pre and post inspections.
- Maintain material handling equipment by restoring, cleaning, oiling, refueling and other necessary activities, and capture all of the information on the sheet.
- Study manufacturing schedule to determine material requirements, deliveries, and movements.
- Record information about motions of materials, supplies and finished products.
